After 25 years in his role, Roger Williams will step down as Executive Director of the Professional Association of Managing Agents (PAMA) effective July 27, 2023.
The residential property management industry has seen significant changes including new legislation, mandatory licensing and education for strata and rental managers, and technology that no one could imagine when Roger started back in 1998.
Under Roger’s leadership, PAMA introduced and held annual conferences in Mexico, two annual golf tournaments and many educational and social events. In 2005, PAMA selected the C.H.I.L.D Foundation as the charity for the association to support and that continues today. Roger was named Honorary Doorman of the Year in 2019 by the Doorman’s Association of Greater Vancouver in recognition of PAMA’s ongoing support.
The board of PAMA wishes Roger all the best of health and enjoyment in his well-earned retirement.
PAMA is also pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Jones to the role of Executive Director. Sarah brings a wealth of not-for-profit association experience. Having worked in this sector for over twenty years, she has honed her management experience in membership, events, education, and marketing communications. She previously served as Director of Operations for the Mechanical Contractors Association of BC and before that, held management roles at the Building Owners and Managers Association of BC (BOMA BC).
Sarah is excited to bring her passion for continuous improvement and innovation to PAMA and PAMA is thrilled that she is joining.
